Most recently, we visited their adaptive reuse project underway in the Magic City Innovation District. The significance of adaptive reuse as a strategy for urban development cannot be understated. It provides significant benefits to the community by extending the life expectancy of the built environment and reducing our impact on the natural environment.

We would like to thank the cities of Miami Beach and South Miami, along with the Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida, for their collaboration on a series of design studios on affordable housing solutions led by Jason Chandler and the FIU School of Communications, Architecture + the Arts.
ARC+ Community will continue to explore design solutions next semester as we plan to host a series of public policy dialogues with community stakeholders on a host of sustainable socio-economic solutions related to affordable housing.
